Mah Jong, originating in 19th century China, is a tile-based game of skill, strategy and luck, and is played by 3-4 players who, at first, build the Great Wall of China. The play is to draw tiles and discard until you can either form 14 tiles into 4 sets and a pair, or complete one of the Special Hands. These are described on a sheet which will be given out. It is not a complex game, and you only need to know three words - Chow, Pung, and Kong. Beginners are very welcome. There is no gambling.
